Grab-Bag of Guest Delight

I’ve got several single-paragraph thoughts to share with you; instead of breaking them up into different posts, I’m going to stuff them all into the very first Grab-Bag of Guest Delight. Race up, take your pick, and hopefully you’ll get a cool plastic ring, and not one of those stupid erasers ordering you to stay away from drugs:

- POP CULTURE So evidently Lauren Conrad (of The Hills) has written a novel. Or, well, sort of: she came up with the characters and some ideas for the plot, and her publisher talked her through the rest of it. But that’s not writing a novel, is it, so much as it is playing Mad Libs?

- BABY GOAT Proof that no-one is an island: until a sweet friend linked me, I had not yet seen this video despite its having been on Youtube for 2 years now. Were I an island, I’d never have seen it, and also I’d be floating in the ocean and stuff:

- ORTHODONTICS Hey, when I say “Orthodontics”, you think “Penguin”, right? Right?

I took that last photo while driving around Santa Monica today. Very, very excellent.
